The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating Gantry, Horizontal, and Vertical machines to produce high-precision components for the aerospace industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the production of advanced aircraft systems.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain various conventional machining equipment, including Gantry, Horizontal, and Vertical machinesRead and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specificationsSet up machines for each job, including selecting appropriate tools, fixtures, and work-holding devicesPerform precision machining operations to manufacture aerospace components with tight tolerancesMonitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality and consistencyConduct in-process inspections and measurements using precision measuring instrumentsTroubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they ariseMaintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulationsCollaborate with engineers, quality control personnel, and other machinists to improve processes and solve technical challengesDocument work processes, production data, and quality control information as requiredParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce wasteTrain and mentor junior machinists as neededAdhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality management systemsQualificationsRequired:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 5 years of experience as a Conventional Machinist in aerospace or related industriesProficiency in operating Gantry, Horizontal, and Vertical machinesStrong knowledge of machining principles, cutting tools, and materials used in aerospace manufacturingAbility to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specificationsExperience working with various metals and alloys used in aerospace applicationsProficient in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges)Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenFlexibility to work different shifts as required
