Hours:

Full Time & Part Time available. Sunday - Friday

Position Overview:

• Illuminate Vision Wellness : Step into the heart of vision care as you perform routine eye exams and various vision care procedures. With each patient interaction, you're not just collecting data—you're painting a holistic picture of each patient's vision health journey, empowering our team to deliver personalized care tailored to their unique needs.
• Champion Patient Success in Vision Care : Guide patients through special testing procedures, such as visual fields and ophthalmic imaging, ensuring their comfort and confidence every step of the way. Whether it's assisting healthcare providers during complex procedures or evaluating contact lenses, your expertise transforms vision care into a seamless, patient-centered experience.
• Forge a Path of Collaboration in Eye Care: Act as a crucial liaison between patients and staff, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care for medical eye conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetes. From assessing the need for third-party referrals to facilitating in-house coordination, you are a vital team member ensuring our patients receive comprehensive, coordinated care at every turn.
• Illuminate Excellence in Ophthalmic Testing: From administering special tests to conducting detailed assessments, your meticulous attention to detail ensures accurate diagnoses and informed treatment decisions for various eye conditions.
• C hampion Sterile Environments in Vision Care : Uphold the highest standards of safety and cleanliness as you meticulously clean, sterilize, and manage ophthalmic instruments and supplies. Your commitment to maintaining pristine environments ensures our patients receive care in spaces that prioritize their health and well-being.
• Navigate Administrative Efficiency in Eye Care: Seamlessly orchestrate the behind-the-scenes operations that keep our vision care services running smoothly. From managing medical records and scheduling appointments to navigating insurance coding, your organizational prowess ensures our patients receive the care they need when they need it.
• Strictly Adhere to HIPAA Standards : Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and regulatory compliance by strictly adhering to HIPAA standards in handling any patient information or inquiries, ensuring the privacy and trust of our patients are maintained.
• Adapt and Excel in Diverse Assignments: Effectively perform a variety of other assignments and projects as required, showcasing your adaptability and commitment to delivering high-quality care across all aspects of vision health services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• License to practice Optometry in New York State
• Must be comfortable dealing with pediatric and adult patients

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Binocular work ups for Pediatric Patients
• Experience with Electronical Medical Records

Pay & Benefits:

• $90 per hour, commensurate with experience.
