The Pharmacy Tech-Certified supports pharmacists in medication preparation and labeling in ambulatory and home infusion pharmacy settings, primarily serving patients at the Pastega Regional Cancer Center. This role requires technical skills under pharmacist supervision, including managing infusion therapies and pharmacy management systems. Candidates must hold a certified pharmacy technician license or be enrolled in an accredited PharmD program and demonstrate strong communication, computer literacy, and customer service skills.
Summary
This position supports the ambulatory and home infusion pharmacy in the Pastega Regional Cancer Center. IV experience, home infusion experience, or DME pharmacy/ enteral experience highly desirable. This position will work 8 hour shifts Monday-Friday, hours may vary between 0700 and 1730.

Assists pharmacists in medication preparation and labeling activities. Performs a broad range of technical support functions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Ambulatory Infusion staff are knowledgeable in the care of patients with cancer, autoimmune diseases, infections and more. We provide expert care to the patients and all of their infusion needs.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One (1) of the following required:
Current unencumbered Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician License.
Currently enrolled first year PharmD student in good standing with an accredited pharmacy school and current unencumbered Oregon Board of Pharmacy Intern license.
Successful completion of Medical Pharmacy Technician course preferred.

Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

Ability to read, understand, translate and enter prescription orders into the pharmacy management system.
Basic working knowledge of diseases and the drugs that the pharmacy dispenses.
