We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Planner to join our world-class aerospace manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our production processes, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and maintaining seamless operations across our manufacturing facilities. This position requires a deep understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), manufacturing principles, and aerospace industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive production plans for aerospace components and systems, ensuring alignment with customer demands and company objectives.
  • Utilize MRP systems to forecast material requirements, manage inventory levels, and optimize production schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery of aerospace products.
  • Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing strategies.
  • Monitor and manage production capacity, identifying potential bottlenecks and proposing solutions to maintain optimal output levels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and resources required for production.
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, considering factors such as lead times, resource availability, and production constraints.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, applying lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements throughout the production planning process.
  • Generate and analyze reports on production performance, inventory levels, and resource utilization to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with project managers and program teams to align production plans with project milestones and deliverables.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with production delays, supply chain disruptions, or quality issues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in aerospace manufacturing and production planning.
QualificationsRequired:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems and advanced knowledge of production planning methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
