The Accountant performs financial cost analyses to ensure financial and tactical objectives meet organizational objectives. Performs cost accounting functions, analysis, studies, internal reporting, and related cost records. Oversees all cost accounting reports. Provides value-added cost analysis, cost savings and plant spending. Assists with annual Budget preparation, strategic finance planning and forecasting. Key Responsibilities: Performs internal management reporting, Cost Management and supporting analysis. Automates reporting and analysis o Conducts the following analyses : ▪ Spending and variance analysis ▪ Work order variance analysis. ▪ Raw material yield analysis. ▪ Direct labor analysis. ▪ Product processing yield analysis. ▪ Purchase price variance analysis. Partners with Operations and other customers to ensure timely and effective communication of areas in need of improvement and the resulting action items to mitigate those areas. Performs cost models and product pricing studies and new item set-ups. Performs timely and accurate closings. Data Management: supports MAS 500 processes and system development. Conducts financial control documentation and supporting audits. Ensures that items are correctly classified, and statements prepared in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. Assists in the analytical and/or strategic function including the development of budgeting, planning, and forecasting. Conceives ideas for solutions and participates in the resolution of issues. Resolves conflict problems escalated by associates Role Requirements : Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience. ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system experience is essential, MAS 500 experience a plus. Experience using financial and in-house software to perform analysis and report generation. required to support management and decision-making activities Good to have : Must demonstrate the highest level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality always. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills. Excellent I.T (Information Technology). Skills – Word, Excel, Outlook. Ability to work accurately paying close attention to detail. Must possess a positive, professional, assertive attitude. Ability to work to strict deadlines and priorities. Ability to manage functions, allocate resources, set priorities, and coordinate many independent groups. Must be able to multitask, be self-motivated and work autonomously and in a team environment. Flexibility to accommodate an ever-changing working environment and demands placed upon it. Must be able to fit into a culture where teamwork, empowerment and dedication are of utmost importance.
