Job Description

This role is for an OB Surgical Scrub Tech responsible for performing surgical scrub duties for Cesarean sections and providing standard OB technician duties such as monitoring vital signs. The position requires experience as a surgical technician and proficiency in both surgical scrubbing and assisting with patient care.

Location: Eureka, California, United States,

Responsibilities:

- Performing surgical scrubbing for Cesarean sections.
- Assisting with Cesarean sections under the supervision of a surgeon and RN.
- Monitoring patient vital signs.
- Performing other standard OB technician duties as assigned.
- Maintaining a sterile surgical field.
- Preparing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assisting with patient positioning and draping.
- Assisting with post-operative care.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- Certified Surgical Technician.
- Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support).
- Experience in surgical scrubbing and assisting in surgical procedures.
- Knowledge of surgical asepsis and infection control.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience in OB/GYN surgical settings.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- Experience with various surgical instruments and equipment.

- This role is within an operating room environment, requiring adherence to strict sterile techniques and safety protocols.
